Understanding territories, revealing their potential, informing decisions.

GéoDataNum designs bespoke geomatics solutions: GIS decision-support tools, mapping platforms, street addressing and training.

Who are we?

Your partner for geomatics solutions

GéoDataNum (GDN) is a company specialising in digital solutions for territorial management, site prospecting and decision support.

We combine geographical expertise, geographic information systems (GIS) and application development to turn geospatial data into operational tools for public and private organisations.

Our ambition: to help local authorities, companies and project developers know their environment better, spot opportunities, anticipate constraints and make informed decisions.

  • A dual culture

Scientific and operational: research in geography and cartography on one side, geomatics project management and application development on the other.

  • Tools built for decisions

Every tool starts from the decision to be made. It can be used with no specialist training in geomatics.

  • Results you can read

Clear interfaces, carefully chosen indicators, and results whose origin and limits are easy to understand.

Our process

From requirements to a decision-support tool

A good tool starts with a good question. We take the time to gather your requirements, then turn them into a GIS tool your teams will actually use.

  1. Listen

Interviews and workshops with those who decide and those who will use the tool: which questions, which decisions.

  2. Formalise

A short specification and a mock-up, discussed and corrected before any development.

  3. Organise the data

Identify the sources, structure them into a consistent reference dataset and keep track of where they come from.

  4. Develop

Map, filters, indicators, records, reports: the GIS tool is built on your data.

  5. Deploy

Rollout in your organisation, with your access rights and your ways of working.

  6. Train and support

Hands-on onboarding for teams and skills transfer, so the tool is used over the long term.

Our approach

Combining criteria is already deciding

Tick a criterion: the map immediately rules out the sites that do not meet it.

This is the principle behind our tools, with your criteria and your data: flood zones, protected areas, networks, buildings, land. The decision can be read on the map.

Combine the criteria

12 sites out of 12 meet the criteria.

Street addressing: giving every door an address

In many cities, most streets have no name and doors have no number.

GéoDataNum supports municipalities and their partners in setting up a street addressing project: street coding, mapping, field survey, address register, training of the municipal team.

Training

Geomatics training, from beginner to advanced

GéoDataNum trains local authorities, government bodies, companies, students and professionals in the use of geospatial data.

Courses are built on real cases, hands-on exercises and, whenever possible, your own data and projects.

  • GIS: QGIS and ArcGIS
  • Cartography and spatial analysis
  • Geographic databases
  • Interactive web maps
  • Automation and Python for geomatics
  • Designing business applications

“The value of geospatial data lies in its ability to answer a concrete question and improve a decision.”
